Customer information protection

Protecting customers’ intellectual property rights and business information is the focus of our business and business ethics management. Through control via the ISO 27001 management system, Unimicron received no customer complaints for infringement of customer privacy rights or loss of customers’ information, and no punishment of huge fines for products or services violating the law in 2018.

Information Security Management Committee

Unimicron protects customer privacy through the company-level information protection mechanisms of the Information Security Management Committee. The system shall notify all archive file access and data transmission anomalies to the Information Security Management Committee to perform relevant audits, reporting and handling. A monthly report is issued to summarize the information security findings and recommend measures to ensure the security of customer information through the PDCA cycle management mechanism. Unimicron’s plants in Taiwan and Mainland China have all obtained ISO 27001 Information Security Management System certification with 100% coverage rate. We have built comprehensive information security standards and management procedures to ensure information security. In 2018, we passed information security audits for major customers and no information security deficiencies were found.
